Gordon might have continued his relationship with Robbie Lommis after he won his 2001 championship but in 2002 he went winless for most of the season until Birstol when he won ending a winless streak that went back to September, 2001. Gordon might have won a championship for the remander of the 2000s but he did contend for wins.
