Gas lines and energy shortages really did show how weak Jimmy Carter was, he did absolutely nothing about ether except advise people to wear sweaters and turn the thermostats down. That was why his polls fell and the same thing is happening to Obama. He had to deal with an oil spill that saw his take zero effort and that is going to make Obama like Carter a one term president.
