Tony Stewart spent eight years driving the 20 Home Depot car wining two championships, then in 2008 Stewart announced he was going to be an owner driver starting the newely formed Stewart Haas Racing team. The team's debut season was outstanding, Stewart became the first owner driver to win since Ricky Rudd in 1998 and got both he and teammate in the Chase. 2010 was different considering Stewart wasn't running strong and even if he did take his first pole since 2005, SHR's second year might be seen as mediocre.
