The Boston Tea Party happened because the colonists were furious with being taxed and they showed their anger by dumping tea in the harbor to protest why they were angry at the king. With the midterm elections ahead, the Tea Party Movement who the legacy of the colonists are based on are doing the same thing only this time its our government.
