In 1979, the Shah of Iran was replaced by the Aytollah Khomeni. Because of Jimmy Carter, Iran went from an ally that supported the United States that wants to threaten Israel with nuclear weapons. If it weren't for Jimmy Carter, Iran would still be an ally.
