When asked why he wanted to be president of the United States in 1979 by journalist Roger Mudd, Ted Kennedy said it was a family affair. Both John and Bobby had run for president and Ted was going to follow in their footsteps. Ted should have perhaps keep his mouth shut on why he considered an run for the White House and had not mentioned that it was a family affair.
