Road Racing is good for the Indycar considering that both Alex Zanardi and Gil De Ferran were both masters of road racing. when De Ferran won the Indy 500 in 2003 the Indycar series was mainly an oval racing series but over the last 6 years it has been adding more road and street circuits. So Indycar must be making its self more like Cart was during the 90s and early 2000s.
